Andy Ruiz Jr. Feels Tyson Fury Isn’t Faking His Situation

One of the most important heavyweight fights of 2021 between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury is unfortunately postponed. This is because Fury and his team members tested positive for COVID-19. As many fans and fighters felt he was faking it to avoid this fight, they lashed out at ‘The Gypsy King’ over the same. However, the Mexican-American heavyweight, Andy Ruiz Jr., doesn’t feel the same.

Speaking to Behind the Gloves, Andy Ruiz Jr said, ”You know things happen. You can’t fake something (like) Covid or someone in the group got it or anything like that. But it does give them a little bit longer to prepare for their fight and you know I’m just excited to see it.”

Fury displayed his outstanding class against the Alabama native in their first two meetings. In their first bout in 2018, ‘The Gypsy King’ survived the power of Wilder‘s right hand. However, as ‘The Bronze Bomber’ scored a knockdown in the final round, he earned a draw.

Will Tyson Fury end his feud with Deontay Wilder once for all?

Fury and Wilder have unfinished business. If the global pandemic hadn’t impacted Fury’s camp, the fans would have got to see this high-voltage war on July 24.
