Instead, it may take place on October 9. However, Eddie Hearn highly doubts the fact behind the immediate postponement, which came just a few weeks before the original date.

The Matchroom Promoter connected with IFL TV and commented on the Fury vs Wilder 3 scenario. That said, he also ridiculed Top Rank kingpin Bob Arum for failing to stick to the official fight date.

“I told you the fight wouldn’t happen. Whether it’s covid-related, whether the fact that they haven’t sold any tickets. Whether it’s the worry that the pay-per-view is gonna flop,” said Eddie Hearn.

He added, “Whether it’s Fury’s camp. I have got no idea and I am sure someone’s got covid. It’s not an unusual occurrence.”

Hearn wanted to book an undisputed title fight between WBC champion Tyson Fury and WBO, WBA, IBF champion Anthony Joshua in August. Simultaneously, Tyson Fury’s promoter Bob Arum was also ready. However, Deontay Wilder’s sudden intervention disrupted things. Hence, Hearn went ahead and secured the Usyk fight for Anthony Joshua.
