Michelle Heaton has spoken out about the shock affect her alcohol and drug addiction had on her hair.
The singer, 41, who went to rehab in April to tackle a cocaine and alcohol problem, took to Instagram this week to share a before and after look at her locks during a visit to the salon.
The former Liberty X star displayed long, healthy curls in one picture after posting a video of of her mane before it was treated.
She captioned the post: ‘It’s funny (not really funny) but still funny, how stress … hormones … alcohol … drugs … diet … fitness all effects the hair!
‘See my video at the end. This was filmed only this morning, That’s the harsh reality of what my hair became. And so this is me now.
‘@inanchlondon @inanch_justme @hairbyhasanuzun using @goldclasshair has well and truly got rid of any last bits of Michelle in addition! Good riddens! (sic).’
She added the hashtags: ‘Hair’, ‘inrecovery’, ‘extensions’ and ‘haircolour,’ nothing the treatments she’d had.
Sharing a picture of herself with her frazzled hair the day before, Michelle wrote: ‘Dear God. Grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change (my hair just for today).
‘The courage to change the things I can (my hair eventually tomorrow). And the wisdom to know the difference (coz I’m going to @inanchlondon tomorrow NOT today).’
Michelle went into The Priory in April this year, crediting Katie Price, 43, with encouraging her to make the move, with the glamour model having spent a month at the facility in 2018 for severe trauma rehabilitation.
The former Popstars contestant, who is mother to nine-year-old daughter Faith and seven-year-old son AJ with husband Hugh Hanley, is having follow-up treatment in the form of therapy after her residential rehab stay.

Michelle previously told The Sun: ‘I texted Katie while I was in The Priory, “You saved my life”. Because The Priory did save my life.
‘What I was doing was a suicide mission. I never actually thought, “I want to kill myself”, but ultimately I was killing myself. I was crying out for help when I couldn’t actually ask for help. But when you’re an addict, it feels like there’s no way out.’
