Tom Brady Has Hilarious Response to Stanley Cup Warning Following Tampa Bay Lightning Win

It’s been five months since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV, but the sight of an intoxicated Tom Brady throwing the Lombardi Trophy from one yacht to another remains fresh in the mind of NFL fans.

Soon after claiming his seventh Super Bowl win, Brady and the Buccaneers took out a boat parade to celebrate their success. Cruising along the ports of Tampa, Florida, Brady and the Buccaneers celebrated in style.

And it’s safe to say that the celebration involved some alcohol as well. In a now-viral video, a clearly disoriented Tom Brady was seen throwing the Lombardi Trophy from one yacht to another. The quarterback later admitted that he was indeed under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place.

But Brady and everyone else took in good spirits. In fact, Brady has referenced the throw multiple times recently as a passing joke.

And now it seems Tom Brady might have the chance to do it all over again. This time with a different piece of silverware.

The Tampa Bay Lightning won the NHL’s top prize by beating the Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup Final. The franchise is now back-to-back champions thanks to their win back in the 2019-20 season as well.

With the silverware headed back to Tampa, the official Stanley Cup Twitter handle knew that they had to issue a warning beforehand to Tom Brady.

FYI I’m too heavy to throw, @TomBrady.

Following his Lombardi Trophy antics, the account suggested that the Stanley Cup was just too big for Tom Brady to throw. And frankly, they aren’t wrong.

The 128-year-old trophy weighs 34.5-pounds. The Lombardi Trophy for reference weighs a mere seven pounds. But given his social media antics, Brady was quick with a response himself.

Idk…everything feels a bit lighter after some tequilla https://t.co/9l5mL8saoq

Referring to his throw while intoxicated, Brady replied by saying that everything feels lighter after a few shots of tequila. Tom, we couldn’t agree more.
