Sylvester Stallone Says Conor McGregor Would Be “Foolish” to Not Fight Jake Paul

Conor McGregor is the undeniable star of the modern combat sports era. In no time, he has made himself one of the biggest brands in the sport, and every time, his hunger to become greater only increases. For now, though, the Irishman is completely focused on MMA. However, he still has a love for boxing and has expressed his interest in lacing up his gloves again.

That said, the novel sensation of boxing, Jake Paul, has called the Irishman out many times for a boxing bout. But the latter hasn’t quite entertained the YouTuber turned boxer on the same.

Many boxing lovers want to see ‘The Notorious’ against Jake Paul. Another boxing lover in Sylvester Stallone, too, has pinned himself among that list. In a chat with TMZ Sports when the reporter asked whether he’d be interested in watching McGregor vs Paul, ‘Rocky Balboa responded, “For sure.”

He continued, “Yeah, I mean, because you don’t take that as boxing, even though they work at it. It becomes kind of fun event. You know what I mean, it’s not life or death.”

“With the kind of money that’s going around, he’d be foolish not to.”

The former UFC double champ is currently out of action. He competed in a trilogy against Dustin Poirier and lost the UFC 264 fight via doctor’s stoppage as he suffered a horror leg snap.

Will Conor McGregor really come back to boxing?

McGregor is searching for a vital win in the UFC’s 155-pound division. Hence, the consensus is that until and unless he bags the same, the Irishman won’t really turn his attention to boxing. However, he might end up taking fights against the likes of Jake Paul and more once his pursuit of lightweight gold is fulfilled.

That said, it’ll be intriguing to see how the Irishman resurrects his position at the top. Will he fight again in the UFC? Will he accept the fights against the Paul brothers?
