Oscar De La Hoya and his troubled past

Oscar De La Hoya was one of the biggest names in the world of boxing in the early 2000s. ‘Golden Boy’, which was how he was perceived in public at the time, has been open about his drug issues in the past. “There were drugs. My drug of choice was cocaine and alcohol. Cocaine was recent, the last two years, last two-and-a-half years, and I depended more on the alcohol than the cocaine,” De La Hoya told UnivisioNews 1 in a 2011 interview.
