‘Floyd is Damaged’: Mike Tyson Gives Bizarre Opinion on Floyd Mayweather

Boxing greats Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have never shared a very friendly relationship. Instead, Tyson has often shed his disregard towards the unbeaten champion. However, the heavyweight legend seems to have found some similarities between him and Mayweather, newly.

Both men are retired from professional boxing, but they have had their sensational returns recently. Tyson used this as a mutual parameter and revealed how he and Floyd Mayweather are suffering the same issues. During a chat with Oscar De La Hoya, Tyson shocked many fans with his uncanny opinion on Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.

“You see, Floyd [Mayweather] he is damaged. He is damaged. He wants to come back and fight. You see, that’s what that do. I came back, that’s not right. It f**** you up. It is damaged.”

Meanwhile, several retired fighters have made their comeback in recent times. Akin to Tyson, Roy Jones Jr. also ended his layoff and embraced an 8-round exhibition against ‘The Baddest Man on The Planet’ last year. Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather’s arch-rival Oscar De La Hoya is also looking for a way back to action.

Although these men have nothing left to prove, they still have the itch to fight. So, Mike Tyson might have made some sense with his recent comments regarding Floyd Mayweather. However, we might have seen the last of ‘TBE’, especially after a controversial performance against Youtuber turned prize fighter, Logan Paul.

Floyd Mayweather- ‘The Money Show’ shall end now

Aged 44, Mayweather clearly struggled against Logan Paul, who enjoyed sheer physical advantage in the fight. Although Mayweather didn’t suffer a defeat, the draw ended up grabbing sheer criticisms from the boxing universe. After the clash at the Showtime PPV, Mayweather hinted at complete retirement.

However, the future might hold something different. Despite failing to win, ‘Money’ earned over $100 million that night. So, another “legalized ban robbery,” as Mayweather says, can further bring him back to the squared circle. That said, Mayweather’s stardom would always bring viable opponents for him, who can stage multi-million showdowns in the future.
