Loki episode 6: Predictions for the finale, from Kang the Conqueror’s arrival to potential Sylvie romance
Will our questions be answered in the Loki finale? (Picture: Marvel Studios/Disney)
Warning: spoilers ahead for Loki.
The time has arrived (excuse the pun). Episode 6 of Loki is finally upon us, as Marvel fans prepare to learn who’s really behind all of the time-bending mayhem in the series.
In episode five of the MCU show, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) joined forces to find out who is pulling the strings at the TVA (Time Variance Authority).
With the help of the powerful Classic Loki variant (Richard E Grant), they managed to enchant the smoke monster Alioth, enabling them to discover a citadel beyond the Void where the TVA boss is possibly hiding.
As a product of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), the launch of Loki on Disney Plus has spawned a plethora of rumours and theories over the past few weeks, some farfetched and others right on the money.
With just one episode to go, there are still some theories that viewers are yet to see come to fruition, including whether or not Kang the Conqueror will turn out to be the one in charge.

From Kang’s possible arrival to the progression of Loki and Sylvie’s relationship, here are our top predictions for the Loki finale.
Kang the Conqueror will be the mastermind behind the TVA
It’s already been confirmed that Kang the Conqueror is to appear in the upcoming film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, played by Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors.
Therefore, it wouldn’t be too far a stretch to suspect that he could make his first appearance in the MCU in Loki.
In the Marvel comics, Kang is a nemesis of the Avengers, who has become an expert in time travel thanks to the wide expanse of technology from the future at his disposal.
So to have Kang be the mastermind behind the TVA would be a logical, albeit slightly predictable, conclusion to draw.
Ravonna’s history with Kang the Conqueror will be uncovered
In episode five, TVA judge Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) claims to Sylvie that she has no idea who’s really running the organisation.
However, we know that Ravonna is smart, so this was most likely a ruse to get Sylvie on her side.

In the Marvel comics, Ravonna has a close connection with Kang.
Therefore, not only might Ravonna actually be aware that Kang is running the TVA, but she could also be his right hand woman.
Loki will turn out to be the true villain of the series
There is of course the possibility that Kang has nothing to do with the TVA and won’t appear in the Marvel series.
In which case, who is the person who’s been running the TVA all along?
In promotional clips of Loki, a scene has been shown depicting Loki sitting on a throne, as though he is the king of Asgard.
Perhaps this scene – which is yet to take place in the show – is actually another variant of Loki, an evil iteration of the character who is the brains behind the TVA.
This could also explain why the TVA has been so hellbent on tracking down Loki variants all this time, so that the top dog Loki doesn’t feel threatened.
Nature of Loki and Sylvie’s relationship will be confirmed
Even though Loki and Sylvie are different versions of the same character, there have been implications that there could be a romantic connection between them.

Nonetheless, there are some fans who believe the closeness that Loki and Sylvie have quickly developed is simply a demonstration of the God of Mischief’s ability to practise self-love and care.
Whatever the answer, we would think that episode six would provide more clarity on the nature of their relationship and how it may progress in the MCU moving forward.
Elizabeth Olsen will make a WandaVision cameo
Both WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier had intriguing post-credits scenes when their finales aired on Disney Plus.
In the WandaVision post-credits scene, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) heard her sons calling out for her while she was reading the Darkhold, despite the children seemingly ceasing to exist when she took down her Hex.

Considering Wanda is set to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, some suspect that she might also have a cameo in the Loki finale, perhaps having caused a breach in the timeline while in search of her twin boys.
Could a Wanda cameo mark the first crossover between the MCU Disney Plus shows?
The Loki finale is set to air on Disney Plus on Wednesday July 14.
