“He’s One of My Inspirations” – Jake Paul Talks About Oscar De La Hoya

Jake Paul is one of the biggest household names of boxing today. The YouTuber turned boxer has been one predominant face of the sport over the past few months for obvious reasons. Moreover, Paul has undoubtedly expanded his fanbase by turning his attention to this side of combat sports.

Although boxing was never really in his plans, there were a few bigwigs who inspired Jake Paul to lace up the boxing gloves. And one such name on that list is Oscar De La Hoya. The latter also gave Paul some boxing tips for his upcoming bout against Tyron Woodley.

Recently, ‘The Problem Child’ rolled out some words of wisdom for ‘Golden Boy’ and praised him for his help. He said, “He seems awesome, and look he’s one of my inspirations so it’s a dope a** moment.”

De La Hoya himself is gearing up for an exhibition fight against the UFC legend, Vitor Belfort. Hence, he is currently involved in some rugged training sessions. Also, as he’s been in the sport for decades now, his advice could prove to be crucial for the YouTuber turned boxer in his fourth bout.

That said, ‘The Problem Child’, in his above interview, gave his take on the conversation he had with ‘Golden Boy’.

The Ohio native is busy with his preparations and promotions for his boxing bout against Tyron Woodley. And in this crucial stage, some insights from De La Hoya would mean a lot to the 24-year-old.

Until now, irrespective of the antics he engages in away from it, Jake Paul has shown pure class inside the ring. He knows that in order to trace a long pathway in the game he needs to market himself well and fight well.

In all of his fights, the Ohio native has shown some colossal power and finished all his rivals. He puts in his best efforts to entertain the vast boxing masses, and that’s how he’s turned into a prolific sensation.

Moving further, with the momentum he’s currently in, it definitely seems that Paul is on the roadway to become a legend of the game. Yet, it’ll be interesting to see if he actually does so with his in-ring performances.
