The first trailer for The Grand Tor Scotland special has arrived and it looks every bit as chaotic as we’d all hoped.

The upcoming chapter, which is titled The Grand Tour Presents… Lochdown, sees Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond back behind the wheel and racing each other across a body of water on a makeshift jetty.

Announcing they’ve arrived at their destination, Clarkson radios his co-stars on a walkie-talkie, telling them: ‘We’re entering McSotland.’

In another moment, May is seen driving his car over the plastic bridge. ‘This feels a bit perilous,’ he states as he casts his eyes over the dangerous predicament.

In the next shot, Clarkson declares he has a ‘brilliant’ idea and is then seen racing his car across the bridge in May’s direction.

Will he plunge his car into May’s rear end? Only time will tell…

Viewers can’t wait to see the new episode and rushed to share their excitement in the comments.

‘Can’t put into words how much I’m looking forward to this,’ one enthused.

‘Oh hell yes, this looks good,’ another added.

Teasing a spoiler ahead of the show’s release, the official Grand Tour Twitter account revealed Hammond ‘goes for an impromptu swim’.

In April, The Grand Tour producer Andy Wilman shared a clip from the special teasing the country’s landmarks.

The video began with the Forth Bridge, which is located west of Edinburgh, as well as cityscapes and footage of idyllic countryside.

The instalment was filmed in between lockdowns in 2020.

Hammond previously spoke about the new special on Good Morning Britain and teased the future of the series, saying: ‘There’s another special coming up and we managed to get one done.

‘I mean, it’s difficult going anywhere because obviously it’s about travel and that’s been off the cards. But there is another one coming out later on this year. I don’t know when though.’

The Grand Tour Presents… Lochdown will arrive soon on Amazon Prime Video.
