SHOCKING: Conor McGregor Reveals He Had Stress Fractures Going Into The Trilogy Against Dustin Poirier At UFC 264

Former UFC dual division champion Conor McGregor suffered a disastrous leg injury during his trilogy clash against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Many sports pundits and fans alike could only speculate what was the reason behind the sudden snapping of his leg. He underwent successful surgery the next day with rods, plates, and screws attached to his tibia and fibular parts.

He shared the news of his successful surgery with his fans and also revealed he would be with crutches for six weeks before his recovery process starts.

Now, ‘The Notorious’ one has taken to Instagram and revealed the answer to the question that many have been asking him lately. How did his leg break?

McGregor said, “I was injured going into the fight. People are asking me when was the leg broke. At what point did the leg break. Ask Dana White, ask the UFC, ask doctor Davidson, the head doctor of UFC.”

“They knew I had stress fractures in my leg going into that cage… I was sparring with shin pads and I kicked the knee a few times. So I had multiple stress fractures in the shin bone above the ankle,” he added.

McGregor has now suffered 3 losses in his last four fights. He has suffered two TKO losses on the trot. Prior to his rematch against Poirier at UFC 257, he had incurred zero KO/TKO losses in his professional career.
