Adult film star Dahlia Sky has died aged 31 in a ‘potential suicide’.
The performer was found dead in a vehicle in the Devonshire area of the San Fernando Valley at around 8pm on June 30.
Detective Dave Peteque from the Los Angeles Police Department said that Sky was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound, and that police officials are awaiting autopsy results from the LA County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
The case is being investigated as a potential suicide, with Peteque saying that a cause of suicide is ‘what the investigation is leaning towards, and there’s no evidence at this time that there’s any foul play’.
Sky’s death came a month before her 32nd birthday.
According to friends, Sky had been experiencing depression after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, which had metastasised and was at stage four.
JHP Films owner Hans, who produced the actress’s 2020 film Always Dahlia Sky, told AVN: ‘During her last year I spoke to her several times about life. It was not an easy ride for her. This will take a long time to get over, if it’s even possible. Dahlia Sky, you beautiful soul, you funny, complicated and warm-hearted friend! I am going to miss you so much.’
Director Axel Braun added to the publication: ‘She was super funny and she had a big heart, but unfortunately her battle with breast cancer took a toll on her mental health and she struggled with depression, as most people would. My heart goes out to her family and loved ones, we lost a beautiful soul.’
Porn star Stormy Daniels tweeted: ‘I had the opportunity to direct many many talented performers during my time with Wicked. Dahlia Sky was one of my absolute favorites. She was also a friend. I am heartbroken to hear of her passing. She is the third death I’ve learned of in the last 24 hours. Life is so fragile.’

Sky first entered the adult film industry in 2010 under the name Bailey Blue, and instantly became a success, being nominated for female performer of the year at the AVN Awards.
She racked up around 600 credits during her decade in the business, and last shot a showcase in 2020.
In 2014, she changed her name from Bailey Blue to Dahlia Sky due to a dispute with a clothing company which had trademarked that name.
