My ex dumped me out of the blue and now sends daily abuse
DEAR DEIDRE: MY former girlfriend has turned into a character assassin.
Since she dumped me out of the blue, she has sent me nasty text messages about how inadequate I am.
After a great weekend together, she texted to say she didn’t think we were compatible
I don’t know what I did to deserve this. We were only together for three months, during which time I regularly cooked for her, gave her flowers and treated her well.
We never had a cross word and she trusted me enough to leave me in her house when she went to work.

Since then she’s sent texts saying my job as a builder isn’t good enough. And she’s been really personal about my performance in bed – saying that I “hardly touched the sides”.
I’m 43 and she’s 40. I don’t understand what happened and it has really knocked my confidence.
DEIDRE SAYS: Her behaviour is cruel and odd. She sounds unstable and it’s possible she has emotional issues you aren’t aware of.
Maybe she’s trying to convince herself she did the right thing or putting you off her so you don’t try to win her back.
