Stacey Solomon’s had to ask brother-in-law to take her home after he drove off with wrong sister

Stacey Solomon and her sister Jemma look and sound so much alike that people often get them confused – including Jemma’s own husband.

Jemma Solomon, 32, had joined Stacey, 31, on Loose Women to discuss teaming up with Lord Alan Sugar for her label-making business, but shared a hilarious anecdote while she was there. 

The pair, who are a year apart in age, have often confused people with how similar they sound and look, so Jemma used their likeness to feel out her future husband. 

She met her husband Lee, who she now shares three children with, on a night out and was convinced that he would have no idea who she was afterwards. 

Jemma explained to the Loose Women panel: ‘There’s a really funny time that, when I met my now husband, we basically met in a nightclub so when he asked to take me out, I said: “You’re never going to remember who I am or what I look like!”

‘He said: “I willl,” so he turned up at my house and I said to Stacey: “Can you go get in the car with him please, because he thinks he knows what I look like”.

‘She was like no, and I was like “Please, he wants to take me out”. So she got in the car and he drove off with her!’

As the panel broke down into laughter, they asked Stacey what she had done when Lee had driven off with her in the car instead of her sister. 

Stacey revealed: ‘Well, I just had to say: “Um, no actually I’m not Jemma, sorry, can you drive me back home?”’
