WATCH: Hamilton & Norris in a Wholesome Moment With 5-Year Old ‘Pit-Stopper’ Aspirant at British GP F1 Press Conference

Fan questions during F1 press conferences aren’t something one would want to miss over each race weekend. And rightfully so, an energetic fan showed up on the screens during the British GP press conference, comprising the two British drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris.

The questions are usually general, with both the drivers having a go at giving their responses. However, this time around, it was more Hamilton-centric but the interviewer couldn’t resist but show the clip to both the drivers.

The 5-year-old asked was quite pumped up through the entire clip, and asked for the 7-time world champion’s advice. He reckoned that he wanted to become a pit-stopper in the future and wanted Hamilton to guide him through the process.

What did Lewis Hamilton say?

During the interview, Hamilton was absolutely impressed with the kind of energy Toby was showcasing throughout the clip. What’s more, the Briton revealed that his young fan made his day.

That was awesome! I love that energy. Thank you so much for the question and your energy, you just made my day. First, you gotta work hard at school,” Hamilton said.

And then you gotta get into engineering or mechanicing. I’d have to find out the exact route, but you start working hard at school. And if that’s your dream, never give up on it,” the Mercedes driver added.

Unsurprisingly, the focus then shifted onto the McLaren driver, Norris, who seemed happy to have the young lad in his team.

After a few lessons for sure: McLaren F1 driver

Despite showing a bit of hesitancy at first, Norris felt that recruiting the tiny F1 fan could make him the youngest pit-stopper in the world.

Umm, yeah! After a few lessons for sure. I don’t mind, you know? He could be the youngest ever pit-stopper or something,” he said.

So, yeah, we’ll give him a chance like Lewis said, when he’s finished school and achieve some more things in his life until then. Then, he could be on the team in a few years.

Overall, the 5-year-old’s question was undeniably one of the best fan questions asked during the F1 driver’s press conference. But, can we look forward to more such enlightening moments from the rising young talents around the world?
