Britney Spears raised eyebrows with her latest Instagram post as she called out those who didn’t ‘show up’ when she needed them most, with many speculating that she was aiming this at sister Jamie Lynn.

The Toxic singer has been battling to end her controversial conservatorship, which she has been under since 2008, with dad Jamie Spears in charge of her personal and financial matters.

She recently spoke publicly against the court order in a bombshell hearing, asking a judge to put an end to it.

Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-two has now hit out at people close to her who didn’t speak up at the time.

Making her feelings known, Britney posted a quote post which read: ‘Never forget who ignored you when you needed them and who helped you before you even had to ask.’

‘There’s nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation whatever it may be and speak righteously for support…,’ she began a lengthy caption.

‘There’s nothing worse than that!!!! How dare the people you love the most say anything at all… Did they even put a hand out to even lift me up at the TIME!!!??? How dare you make it public that NOW you CARE…

‘Did you put your hand out when I was drowning???? Again… NO… So if you’re reading this and you know who you are… and you actually have the nerve to say anything about my situation just to save face for yourself publicly!!!

‘If you’re gonna post something…. Please stop with the righteous approach when you’re so far from righteous it’s not even funny…..’

Making her point known, she added a string of middle finger emoji, concluding: ‘And have a good day!!!!! PS if you’re reading this today and you can relate…. I’m sorry because I know what it’s like… and I send you my love!!!!’

Britney didn’t tag anyone in her post, or hint at who she was addressing in the caption, but fans were convinced that she was aiming it at her sister, Jamie Lynn.

The star previously shared the shocking details of her conservatorship in court testimony, alleging she was not allowed to remove her IUD in a bid to start a family with boyfriend Sam Asghari.

She compared the order to ‘abuse’, and stated those in charge have ‘done a good job at exploiting’ her life.

Jamie Lynn has been attacked by fans for not speaking out sooner over the treatment of her sister, with the Zoey 101 actress hitting back at the abuse she had received.

She later posted an emotional Instagram story in support of her sibling, vowing that she didn’t feel she could speak publicly until Britney did.

She insisted: ‘Now that she’s very clearly spoken and said what she needed to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feel I need to say. I think it’s extremely clear that since the day I was born that I’ve only loved adored and supported my sister.’

‘This is my freakin’ big sister before any of this bulls**t. I don’t care if she wants to run away to the rainforest and have a zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has so many times before.

‘I have nothing to gain or lose either way. This situation does not affect me either way because I am only her sister who is only concerned about her happiness. I’ve made a very conscious choice in my life to only participate in her life as her sister.’

Jamie Lynn added: ‘Maybe I didn’t support her the way the public would like me to with a hashtag on a public platform. But I can assure I have supported my sister long before there was a hashtag, and I’ll support her long after.’
