I love the striking colours of this French Connection dress which I’ve teamed with a pair of versatile nude heels from New Look.
The Duchess of Cambridge has an LK Bennett pair she wears a lot because they go with everything.
Dresses with a wrap detail like this are not only flattering around the waist and bust, but if you swap the heels for a pair of trainers, you can wear it for a casual occasion too.

Hats always look as if they’ve made a forced landing on my head, so I invariably opt for a little fascinator, to show willing.
This one cost just £16 from Claire’s.
