Love Island 2021 star Rachel Finni has been forced to self isolate after leaving the villa and being contacted by NHS track and trace.

Londoner Rachel, 29, was dumped from the villa after a re-coupling saw her left without a partner last week.

She told viewers after leaving the show that she was looking forward to dating again after getting back into the outside world.

Instead, though, she’s been forced to spend time on her own after being contacted and told to isolate.

The former contestant had been due to join Laura Whitmore in the Love Island: Aftersun on Sunday, but she was forced to stay home instead.

It comes after more than 500,000 people were told to self-isolate by the NHS Covid app in England in the space of just one week, with Rachel one of the unlucky ones among them.

The good thing, though, is that Rachel looked back fondly at her time on the show.

Speaking on the show, Rachel said going in as a bombshell was ‘the most incredible feeling ever. I want to do that moment all over and over again.’

After leaving the villa, Rachel admitted she wished she chose Chuggs Wallis over Brad McClelland during her time in the villa.

During her exit interview she said she wished she had chosen to couple-up with Chuggs rather than Brad as she later realised he wasn’t genuine.

‘I would have picked Chuggs over Brad,’ Rachel confessed. ‘Knowing what I know now. You have to graft to stay in there. I was stupid enough to fall for Brad’s graft, because it wasn’t genuine.

After leaving the show last week, Rachel said she would ‘beg to go back in’ and relive the series.

‘Honestly, I would beg to go in. If you want to send me back in at any point, I’d do it. I’d be unapologetic, strong and forthright,’ she said.

‘I would definitely go back in and be ready to stir the pot until the pot broke.’

Rachel became the third islander to leave the ITV series, following Chuggs and Shannon Singh, 23. Her appearance on After Sun on Sunday coincided with Sharon Gaffka’s exit from the villa.

Love Island continues on Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
