Tensions between Britney Spears and her sister Jamie Lynn are still simmering with the singer taking aim at her younger sibling again in a social media post.
The pair’s relationship is believed to be strained amid Britney’s fight against her ongoing conservatorship, which has controlled her wellbeing and financial affairs since 2008.
Britney’s fans have long criticised Jamie for not speaking out in support of her sister publicly during the highly-publicised court battle but on Sunday, Jamie shared a post calling for ‘peace’.
‘May the peace of the Lord be with you, and your spirit,’ Jamie captioned her Instagram photo, alongside a peace sign and red love heart emoji.
However, Britney appeared to reply to Jamie’s religious message with a sassy post of her own appearing to be directed at her sister.
In her latest Instagram video, the Toxic singer shared a video of her dancing to Billie Eilish’s hit single Bad Guy, but cryptically wrote in the caption: ‘May the Lord wrap your mean ass up in joy today …. PS RED 🌹🌹🌹 !!!!! Pssss … this is Bad Guy part 2 … same song new dance 💃 … if you don’t like it … don’t watch it 🍒🍒🍒 !!!!!’
Hours before, Britney, 39, directly called Jamie, 30, out while slamming her so-called support system.
In one post, the pop star said: ‘For those of you who choose to criticize my dancing videos … look I’m not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think.
‘And no I’m not gonna put on heavy makeup and try try try on stage again and not be able to do the real deal with remixes of my songs for years and begging to put my new music in my show for MY fans … so I quit !!!!

‘I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!!’
It appeared to be in reference to Jamie’s performance at the Radio Disney Music Awards in 2017 when she performed a tribute to Britney.
In her heartbreaking Instagram post, the singer went on: ‘This conservatorship killed my dreams … so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill … yet people still try !!!!

‘I didn’t like the way the documentaries bring up humiliating moments from the past … I’m way past all that and have been for a long time !!!! And for women who say it’s weird the way I still have hope for fairy tales … go f**k yourself 🖕🏼 !!!!!
‘As I said … hope is all I have right now … you’re lucky I post anything at all … if you don’t like what you see, unfollow me !!!’
