CJ McCollum Picks Khris Middleton Over Giannis Antetokounmpo For NBA Finals MVP

Khris Middleton has arguably been one of the most underrated shooting guards in the league right now. Playing alongside a dominant Giannis Antetokounmpo, Middleton has become a key piece for the Eastern Conference juggernauts Milwaukee Bucks.

After struggling to dominate the playoffs, Middleton and Giannis have finally reached the promise land of the NBA Finals. While the ‘Greek Freak‘ has been dominant on both ends of the court for the Bucks, Middleton is seeing an increased role in the team.

With his ability to score from the three point-line and the mid-range as well, the 30-year-old has become the closer for the team. Often scoring some big shots from in the closing moments of the game, Khris has truly proved his worth to Bucks fans all around the world.

CJ McCollum chooses Khris Middleton over Giannis Antetokounmpo as Finals MVP

Middleton and the Bucks started off this Finals series against the Suns in the worst way possible as they fell to a 2-0 deficit. But Milwaukee made a resounding comeback as Middleton and Giannis balled out for the Bucks to tie the series.

Playing game 5 in the Suns arena, the Bucks had a tough task on their hands. But the big three of the Bucks stepped up. With Giannis scoring 32 points, Middleton scoring 29 and Holiday chipping in with 27, the Bucks won the game by 4 points.

With a 3-2 lead and playing their next game at home, the Bucks have the perfect opportunity to close the series out in game 6. While many might claim that Giannis indeed is set to become the Finals MVP because of his incredible performances in both ends of the court, Blazers’ CJ McCollum differs from the same.

In a recent tweet, McCollum opted for Khris Middleton instead. The Blazers’ guard recently gave a massive shootout to Middleton for closing out games.

Middleton has truly stepped up in the post-season. With an increased role, the guard has thrived and the addition of Jrue Holiday has also taken some pressure off of him defensively.

While he might not be flashiest guard on the court, he is effective and does what’s best for the team. If Bucks win, Giannis might be a favorite to win the Finals MVP, but Middleton is equally important to the team. Will Middleton and Giannis finally close it out for the Bucks in game 6?
