‘Lewis Hamilton Is a Beast’ – USA 400m Favorite, Rai Benjamin Hails the Mercedes Driver After British GP Victory

7-time World Champion, Lewis Hamilton completed a brilliant race as he won his 8th British Grand Prix recently. After his championship rival, Max Verstappen crashed out on the opening lap, Hamilton had to chase Ferarri’s Charles Leclerc for the win. Seeing this charge, Tokyo Olympic bound hurdler, Rai Benjamin was impressed and talked highly of Hamilton.

After causing Verstappen‘s crash, Lewis had received a 10 seconds penalty. Hence the Brit was over 20 seconds behind race leader Leclerc after the pit stops. But Hamilton charged through the laps to pass Leclerc in the 50th lap in front of his home crowd. The crowd erupted as Hamilton produced one of the best recovery drivers in recent years.

Rai Benjamin tweets about Lewis Hamilton

Rai Benjamin tweeted about Hamilton’s race and was heavily impressed. He tweeted – “Lewis Hamilton is a beast.” Benjamin is now getting the attention of several viewers. He has his fan base that wants him to win the 400m hurdles in Tokyo.

“I feel like they’re getting to see who I am as a person. I’m not going to say that I’m that much of a showy, flashy person, but I’m very chill. I kind of go out there do my little thing and then I compete and then that’s it. But I feel like everyone will see that … So I think a lot of people get to know me a little bit. It’ll be great. Not a lot of people get to experience this and just to have the ability to go to the Olympics and possibly win. It’s just fantastic. I think that’s what keeps me going all the time and also just to be the best I can be. That’s what keeps me going.” Benjamen had said.

Benjamin faces tough competition in the 400m hurdles from Karsten Warholm. Warholm recently broke the world record and is in the driving seat for the gold but Benjamin isn’t far behind Warholm in the timings. Who could win between them?
