Lil Nas X has brilliantly spoofed his Satan Shoes legal case to announce a new collaboration with Kanye West.

The 22-year-old star poked fun at the trial, which gets underway this week, with the video confirming his upcoming release.

On Friday, Lil Nas X will drop new track Industry Baby, which features Jack Harlow and has been co-produced by Take A Daytrip and Kanye West.

The hilarious video, which features a snippet of the song, parodies the trial as he plays himself and other characters in courtroom, including the judge and a witness.

At the end of the video, Industry Baby was announced, along with its July 23 release date.

At the end of March, Lil Nas X launched the Satan Shoes with MSCHF which caused some controversy as Nike insisted they had no ‘relationship’ with either party, and didn’t ‘endorse’ the footwear, which sold 666 units for $1,098 a piece.

They sued the streetwear label, saying that the shoes were produced ‘without Nike’s approval and authorisation and that it was ’in no way connected with this project’.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in New York, read: ‘There is already evidence of significant confusion and dilution occurring in the marketplace, including calls to boycott Nike in response to the launch of MSCHF’s Satan Shoes based on the mistaken belief that Nike has authorised or approved this product.’

The sport brand were granted a temporary restraining order at the time, which prohibits MSCHF from fulfilling any orders of the shoes.

Nike sued for damages and wants sales to be blocked by a judge.

Nike has since settled its lawsuit with the brand after suing for trademark infringement, meaning they would recall any Satan Shoes to ‘remove them from circulation’, but Lil Nas X will appear in court on Monday.
