RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is set to return to television screens with series 3 later this year. This is not a drill, baby.

Just months after Lawrence Chaney was crowned winner of the BBC Three show’s second season, it’s been confirmed the beloved programme will be back this autumn.

A whole new set of contestants are due to compete in the Olympics of Drag, in the hope that RuPaul, Queen of Queens, will crown them as The Next Drag Race Superstar.

Across 10 episodes, 12 drag queens will face challenges designed to fully test their expertise to the max.

Watch them slay, werk the runway, lip-sync for their lives, shantay or sashay away as they compete for the most prestigious title. And, of course, prepare for even more dips, trips, splits and kicks all served with a healthy loving dose of shade!

Regular judges Michelle Visage, Graham Norton, and Alan Carr are also expected to be back critiquing the new line-up of queens.

It was announced in June that Drag Race UK would be making a dramatic comeback for a third chapter, with the search for a new line-up beginning at the end of last year.

Series two star Ginny Lemon previously told Metro.co.uk they would love to return to the franchise despite famously quitting the show during a lip-sync battle against Sister Sister.

However, they added that they would only want to take part if they could be sent home first.

‘The only reason I would go back is so RuPaul can say, “Ginny Lemon, sashay away”,’ Ginny exclusively told Metro.co.uk.

Veronica Green, who was also forced to withdraw from the competition mid-season after testing positive for Covid, has also been given an invitation to return.

RuPaul’s Darg Race UK series 3 will return to BBC iPlayer in the autumn.
