Watch: How Christopher Bell Stunned Everyone to Take the Win at New Hampshire

Earlier, Christopher Bell competed in the NASCAR Xfinity race and will also run in the Cup race. It is worth noting that this is Bell’s first Xfinity start in nearly two years. Needless to say, his return to the scene came in a dominant fashion at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. From 14th on the grid, Bell scythed his way up the order, won both stages and took the chequered flag.

“What I have figured out is I’ve got really, really fast race cars, and I just love being here with Joe Gibbs Racing,” Bell said. “All these Supras I have the last three times I’ve been here have been amazing.”

Behind him on the track were Justin Allgaier in a career-best second, and Daniel Hemric in third. Cup Series-bound drivers, Austin Cindric and Harrison Burton rounded out the top five. However, nobody could stop Christopher Bell from taking his 17th career Xfinity victory and his first since Nov 2019.

What else did Christopher Bell say?

Last year, Bell trained his focus on the Xfinity Series. This year, he had no Xfinity commitments until JGR called him up to drive the #54 Toyota for New Hampshire. For the moment, Bell’s Xfinity schedule is free, as he can only compete in four races. In addition to that, he will be indisposed once the playoffs begin, so Kyle Busch’s record of 205 career victories is safe.

Bell continued, “Especially over the last two seasons, I think it would have been really, really good for me to capitalize on it with the no practice, no qualifying, hop in the race car for the green flag. I think running the Xfinity car would have been a pretty big advantage for me to do that.”

This season, the Joe Gibbs Racing team have driven brilliantly, thanks to Bell, Busch and Ty Gibbs. Owing to their efforts, the #54 car won a grand total of eight races. Out of them, Busch has won five, which is the same number of races he has entered. On an interesting note, Christopher Bell confessed that the original plan was for Ty Gibbs to race. Instead, the JGR team decided to rope him instead.
