Can Phoenix Suns Stay Alive in NBA Finals Game-6 vs Milwaukee Bucks? Reggie Miller Believes Chris Paul Holds the Key

Game-6 of the NBA 2021 Finals has almost arrived. After an enthralling set of five games, the Milwaukee Bucks have reversed the pressure on the Phoenix Suns. The ball is now in the Suns’ court, and they will need something out of the world to clinch the title. An important player here will be Chris Paul, who has not dominated the affairs like it was expected. If Paul can rise to the occasion, the Suns will surely be in with a shot.

Underwhelming Finals for Chris Paul?

Coming into the title bout, Chris Paul was on song for the Phoenix Suns. He was playing second-fiddle to Shooting-guard Devin Booker, but was doing it with the utmost ethereal beauty. The 36-year-old led his side to perfection. However, in the Finals, ‘CP3’ has been relatively substandard. His finishing has been below par, and he hasn’t the impact that fans are used to seeing from him.

According to analyst-reporter Reggie Miller, the Suns will be banking on a signature Paul performance if they are to take the series to Game-7. “We have not really seen that [best of Chris Paul] this series,” claimed the former NBA great. “Chris Paul hasn’t had a signature game yet. And I think we are all waiting on that. Booker has been great, but the other half of that equation is Chris Paul.”

“Series is over”: Miller on Suns’ chances if Paul fails to deliver

In a recent interview, the 5-time NBA All-star opined that Chris Paul’s performance will make or break the Phoenix Suns“He [Paul] had signature moments vs the [Los Angeles] Lakers, vs Denver [Nuggets], and vs the [Los Angeles] Clippers,” said Miller.

“There was always that one game he had where he was phenomenal. Game-6, it has to be that for him. If not, then this series is over.” The Phoenix star is averaging just over 20 points in the Finals, and will look to better that come Tuesday night.

Milwaukee will have the home crowd cheering them on, as they look to seal the deal in front of their own. For Phoenix, overhauling the crowd and Giannis‘ warriors will be a mountainous ask; but if they can pull it off, they will be the favorites heading back home for Game-7.
