T.J. Dillashaw Losses: Who Have Beaten the Former UFC Bantamweight Champion

Former UFC bantamweight champion, T.J. Dillashaw is set for a return to the UFC Octagon this weekend. Dillashaw had been out for two years from the promotion after getting caught or substance abuse by USADA. But, the wait is finally over for his fans and the 135 lbs division has a familiar problem back in the mix again.

Dillashaw is a two-time champion of the UFC’s bantamweight division. Cody Garbrandt, Renan Barao, Joe Soto, Raphael Assuncao are some of the memorable wins in his UFC career. Dillashaw has an exceptional professional record of 16-4. Ahead of Killashaw’s return to action, we take a look at all of his defeats.

Dillashaw lost his last appearance in the UFC against Henry Cejudo. Dominick Cruz, Raphael Assuncao, and John Dodson are the other fighters to ever defeat him. Two split decisions and two T/KO losses are his total tally of defeats.

Dillashaw was a participant in The Ultimate Fighter season 14. He won his fights in the show. But during the finals, he suffered a T/KO loss against John Dodson. It was also his first loss as a professional in any form of combat.

Since his loss to Dodson, Dillashaw put together a 4-fight winning streak until he met the top of the food chain 135-pounder of that time, Raphael Assuncao. The duo squared off in a back-and-forth 3-round contest. But much to Dillashaw’s anguish, he was at the wrong end of a split decision and suffered his second career defeat subsequently.

Dillashaw went on a 4-fight winning streak yet again, securing the UFC bantamweight title in the process. He faced Dominick Cruz at a UFC Fight Night event in the first defense of his belt. It was a 5-round classic. But, ‘The Dominator’ reclaimed his throne winning a split decision.

Dillashaw again went on to win 4 fights in a row, defeating Cody Garbrandt twice in the process. He won and defended his belt against ‘No Love‘. He made a move to the flyweight division to challenge Henry Cejudo for the flyweight belt. However, he suffered a first-round T/KO loss.

The former champion returns this weekend after serving his ban. If he keeps up to his pattern of winning 4 fights before losing one, he might just be able to become a three-time bantamweight champion. However, Cory Sandhagen will have his own say on that.
