Leclerc Over Senna & Schumacher! Formula Medicine CEO on Which F1 Drivers Achieved Perfection

There has been a debate going around amongst the F1 fandom for years now, over who the greatest F1 driver is. And unsurprisingly, the debate circled around two of the highly-rated world champions – Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.

Interestingly though, it is neither according to Dr. Riccardo Ceccarelli, the CEO of Formula Medicine. Ceccarelli, who has 30 years of experience in sports medicine, suggested two other drivers who are worthy enough to be hailed as one of the most perfect drivers in F1.

What did the founder of Formula Medicine say?

During an interview with Gazzetta, Ceccarelli opined that Alfa Romeo’s reserve driver, Robert Kubica, and Ferrari F1 driver, Charles Leclerc are much perfect than Senna and Schumacher.

I knew Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher well. They were driven by this extreme search to find a defect to improve. But the driver who came closest to perfection for me was Robert Kubica. And Charles Leclerc,” he said.

Kubica was once a fierce racing driver during his time with BMW, having secured a win and 9 podiums in 4 seasons. What’s more, the Pole thrived at Renault as well, after switching to the French outfit in 2010. However, then arrived the unfortunate crash during the first stage of the Ronde di Andora rally.

The severity of the accident meant that even a driver as strong as Kubica couldn’t make a sound comeback in F1 after returning to the grid in 2019. He struggled throughout the season and ultimately withdrew from being a full-time racer. However, he still plays a role in F1 by being Alfa Romeo’s reserve driver.
