McLaren Unveil Brand New F1 Esports Facility at Their Headquarters

McLaren Racing has started a new venture in the gaming industry. They have launched McLaren Shadow Studio which will be at MTC in Woking. The studio will serve as an active base for their Esports team.

It will also provide an opportunity for the ambassadors to train, race, and produce content. The Woking-based outfit first dived into Esports in 2017. The Studio showcases the team’s commitment to the gaming industry.

We are delighted to launch McLaren Shadow Studio: Lindsey Eckhouse

As reported by their official website, the British team are hoping to dive deeper into the world of virtual racing. In their official statement, Mclaren stated,

“We are delighted to launch McLaren Shadow Studio and build on the fantastic work the team has pioneered in the Esports space.

The McLaren Shadow Esports team was launched in 2017 when we saw an opportunity in the space between virtual and real racing, to increase accessibility through giving people access to an incredible racing experience,” said Lindsey Eckhouse, director, Licensing, e-commerce and Esports, McLaren Racing.

We are bringing upgrades at Hungary Grand Prix: Andreas Seidl

The Woking-based team finished the British Grand Prix with a solid P4 and P5. But they could not stop their rival Ferrari from closing the gap in the fight for P3 in the championship.

McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl has stated that the team will bring upgrades at the Hungary Grand Prix. Seidl hopes the upgrades help the team in their fight with their Italian rivals.

“We are bringing some upgrades to Hungary for our car in order to make sure we keep this battle up,” said Seidl.
