A new intense trailer for upcoming sci-fi Dune has been released and fans are completely hyped.

Starring an incredible cast led by Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet, the highly-anticipated movie will adapt Frank Herbert’s legendary novel of the same name.

The epic trailer starts with Zendaya’s Chani telling us: ‘My planet Arrakas is so beautiful when the sun is low. Rolling over the sands, you can see spice in the air.’

As things turn serious, she says: ‘The outsiders ravaged our lands in front of our eyes. Their cruelty to my people is all I’ve known.’

Worlds away, Timothee’s Paul Atreides is dismissed as he admits he’s been having dreams about a girl on Arrakas.

Soon enough, Paul’s family are brought to Arrakas and the pair are confronted with each other.

‘There’s something awakening in my mind,’ he says, with Chani telling him: ‘You need to face your fears’.

Scenes of destruction ensue, with Paul realising at one point: ‘This is an extermination. They’re picking my family off one by one.’

In the midst of it all, he also has an identity crisis as he asks his father, Duke Leto Atreides (played by Oscar Isaac): ‘What if I’m not the future of house Atreides?’

‘A great man doesn’t seek to lead, he’s called to it,’ the Duke answers. ‘But your answer is no, you’ll still be the only thing I ever needed you to be – my son.’

Basically, it all looks incredibly dramatic and we’re so here for it.

So is everyone else, by the looks of it, with one fan responding to the trailer saying: ‘THIS LOOKS FRICKEN PHENOMENAL!’ and another adding: ‘FINALLY!!!’

Dune is set to follow Timothee’s character Paul, the son of a noble family entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset and most vital element in the galaxy, ‘the spice’, which helps prolong human life and provides superhuman abilities.

Starring alongside Zendaya, Timothee and Oscar are Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica), Jason Momoa (Duncan Idaho), Josh Brolin (Gurney Halleck), Dave Bautista (Glossu Rabban), and Javier Bardem (Stilgar).

Timothee previously said of the film: ‘There is a metaphor, and I think a lesson in this movie for everyone.’

Jason added: ‘This film set the bar in how I want to have my career go. I learned so much every day and I laughed constantly. I felt beautiful.’
