Love Island 2021 final date confirmed! And there’s plenty of time for more break-ups and shake-ups

The Love Island final date has been confirmed – and there’s still lots of drama to come (Credits: ITV)

The Love Island final date has already been revealed – and there is quite the way to go.

After missing out on two series of Love Island due to the coronavirus pandemic, the current series has been extended and will end on August 23 for a nine week run.

The last series of Love Island, which aired at the beginning of 2020, ran for just six weeks.

Love Island confirmed the news in a tweet, advertising a final screening party with Boots.

In a tweet, the show’s social media account wrote: ‘FOR A CHANCE TO WIN 2 TICKETS TO THE LOVE ISLAND FINAL SCREENING PARTY in Central London on Monday 23rd August 2021.

Simply 1. follow @BootsUK and @LoveIsland 2. Retweet our post 3. comment below who you would take to the final with you.’

That means there’s still almost five weeks to go and after last night’s dramatic episode, which some hailed as ‘the best ever’ the news will come as a welcomed surprise.

After a slow start for the current series, Hugo Hammond swooped in to give a crushing speech slamming Toby Aromolaran for dumping Chloe Burrows.

In turn, social media popped off and, quite frankly, we’ve never been so excited for the next instalment.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
