Love Island fans say Hugo and Toby’s row is just like Jonny and Theo’s epic season 3 fight – but do you remember it?

LOVE Island fans claim Hugo and Toby’s recoupling row was just like Jonny and Theo’s bitter fallout in season three.

Out of nowhere last night, Hugo plunged a verbal dagger into Toby when he called out his treatment of Chloe Burrows in front of the group.

It drew comparisons with the classic ruckus in series three when Jonny labelled athlete Theo a “gigantic bellend” after he stole Tyla Carr.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: “Is this the first time in Love Island history there has been such VIM in the recoupling speech itself? The closest I can think of is Jonny calling Theo a ‘gigantic bellend’ but that doesn’t really compare to the lengthy sermon Hugo gave #loveisland.”

Another commented: “Not since Jonny Vs. Theo has there been such levels of disrespect in the boy group.”

A third said: “Producers deffo told Hugo to step up there at the end wanted it to be a Theo and Jonny moment.”

That Theo and Jonny moment came as the former picked Amber Davies to couple up with.

He said: “I wasn’t given a lot of choice because of a certain gigantic bellend but…”

Taking exception, Theo said: “Who are you calling a bellend?”

Jonny responded: “I’m calling you a bellend.”

Marcel Somerville had to hold Theo back as he rose to his feet and confronted his rival.

The threat of physical violence wasn’t as high last night, but the ill feeling was just as palpable.

Hugo sent Georgia Townend home and revealed he was saving his pal – telling the villa: “I would like to couple up with this girl because not only
is she out of this world ‘bootiful’ she is super intelligent, she’s
funny and whenever I’m with her, I’m definitely at my happiest.

“If I’m completely honest, she doesn’t deserve to be treated how she has been this past 24-hours.”

Making a snide dig at Toby, he added: “And I firmly believe that a lot of this test stuff is complete bullshit. You deserve someone who is honest and communicates with you and who knows what could happen.

“Stranger things have happened. So the girl I would like to couple up with is – Chloe.”

Following his speech the Islanders went to hug Georgia who was sent packing, but Toby could be heard seething “what the f**k was that”.
