Ted Lasso season 2: Cast, release schedule and where to watch

Ted Lasso season two is on its way (Picture: Apple)

Season two of critically-acclaimed Ted Lasso is right around the corner, and this is everything you need to know in the lead up to its release.

Our sweet AFC Richmond gang and American coach Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, are back after the events of season one, which saw them relegated to the Championship after losing against Manchester City.

The plucky underdogs look as hapless as ever, racking up eight ties in a row, but Coach Lasso isn’t about to give up on his team.

While Ted won over his players and the people of Richmond last season, it looks like Ted will still have to impress some new additions to the gang this year.

Read on to find out more about the release of the new season.

Who is in Ted Lasso season two?

Coach Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) will return in season two, as will team owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham), who inherited AFC Richmond from her cheating ex-husband Rupert (Anthony Head), who is also returning.

Ageing player Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), Ted’s right-hand man Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), Nathan Shelley, kit man turned assistant coach (Nick Mohammed) and team director Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift) are also set to return.

Egotistical player Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster), Jamie’s ex-girlfriend Keeley Jones (Juno Temple) will also be back.

This season will introduce team psychologist Sharon (Sarah Niles) in hopes to break AFC Richmond’s string of bad luck. Unfortunately, the sports psychologist doesn’t like sugar, so Ted’s homemade shortbread won’t work on her.
