Amanda Kloots confirmed she is dating again, one year after husband Nick Cordero’s death.

The Broadway star died last July, at the age of 41, after a battle with coronavirus.

Following the tragedy, the mum-of-one explained she is ready to move on – detailing her ‘crazy’ experience with dating again in her late 30s.

During an appearance on The Talk, she said: ‘Both of my husbands, I met doing Broadway shows. We became friends first, then we got married.

‘I’ve never actually had to date.

‘I just started dating again and it is so crazy to be dating for the first time at 39-years-old. And it’s quite terrifying and really out of your element, and it’s just hard. It is hard.’

Speaking of the people she had met so far, she added: ‘It’s all wonderful. It’s wonderful people I’m meeting, and it’s been a great process so far.

‘But I’ll just say it’s very hard without getting into too many details.’

The couple met in 2013 when they both starred in Bullets Over Broadway, and began dating shortly after Amanda split from her first husband David Larsen.

Last year, Cordero fell ill with what they initially thought was pneumonia, and was placed on a ventilator shortly after being taken to hospital.

He spent over three months in hospital and had his leg amputated after suffering blood clots.

On July 6, Amanda confirmed that her husband had passed away, writing on Instagram: ‘God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.

‘I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician.

‘He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday.’

Amanda started writing her memoir, Live Your Life: My Story of Loving and Losing Nick Cordero, two weeks after his death, with her book out last month.
