Bianca Belair wins huge match at Rolling Loud as WWE SmackDown takes over hip hop festival

WWE took over Rolling Loud on Friday night as Bianca Belair retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship.

The EST of WWE looked every inch the star wrestling fans know she is as she successfully defended her title against Carmella on stage at the biggest hip hop festival in the world.

Just one week after delivering a great match on the blue brand, Belair once again put her gold on the line against her recent rival as they delivered a fun match in a very unusual situation.

The huge festival crowd watched on with a ring set up on the main event, and you’ve got to assume Bianca won over plenty of new fans with her appearance at the event.

It wasn’t the only match at Rolling Out, as Angelo Dawkins – who teams with Belair’s husband Montez Ford in the Street Profits – took on Chad Gable before the Women’s Title bout.

The Alpha Academy man putting on a great match is all but guaranteed every time he steps between the ropes, although the festival crowd didn’t seem quite as into it as the later clash.

It was a unique setting for SmackDown and definitely a welcome change, although the company was wise to just go with two matches there.

Back in Cleveland, fans were treated to an eventful show as John Cena reiterated his challenge to Roman Reigns for SummerSlam, only for the Tribal Chief to turn him down by the end of the night.

However, there was time for another twist as Finn Balor – who pinned Sami Zayn in the opening match one week after making his SmackDown return – stepped up and laid down a challenge of his own.

This time, the Head of the Table seemed more receptive, and the fans in attendance seem excited for the upcoming bout.

When it takes place is anybody’s guess, as you’ve got to assume the SummerSlam main event is still planned to be Roman vs. Cena in a dream match.
