Danny Bibby has issued a warning to Love Island viewers over taking what they watch on the show ‘with a pinch of salt’, saying that ‘a lot of it is edited to make you be someone you’re not’.
Earlier this week, Danny and AJ Bunker were dumped from the villa after the decision over who would be eliminated from the competition was left to their fellow islanders.
Having been out of the villa for a few days, Danny has had a chance to watch the series, revealing that he has a strong opinion over how the show portrays the reality stars.
In a video shared on his Instagram Story on Saturday, Danny said: ‘So I’ve just been watching the show, right. And listen guys, just take it all with a pinch of salt. That’s all I’m saying, because a lot of it is edited to make you be someone you’re not, alright?’
Lying in his bed while filming the video, he explained that in one part of Love Island when he turned to Lucinda Strafford and said: ‘Why would I make you a coffee,’ their interaction was ‘a little joke’.
‘Cause I was making her a coffee, and I said, “Why wouldn’t I?” Because we’re mates,’ he said.

Danny explained that at the time, he ‘actually made the coffee for Lucinda and gave it to Aaron [Francis]’, telling him: ‘Here bro, here’s Lucinda’s coffee. Give her that. That’ll get you in good books.’
Despite the seeds of doubt he may have planted in Love Island viewers, the plumber and clothing brand owner also encouraged them to ‘enjoy the show’.
Earlier this week, Danny broke his silence over his use of the N-word on Instagram in 2019.
Having issued an apology from inside the villa before his exit, in his recent statement after being dumped, he wrote: ‘Whilst I was made aware of this and issued an apology whilst in the villa, the matter has always been on the front of my mind during the days in there and I would like to now add to what was said.’
He continued: ‘After seeing all the comments and reaction to the post, I understand more that the use of the word, even in the way it was written and intended, is deeply offensive to people and I am truly sorry for using that word [sic].’
