She added: “Cracking trousers Andy Murray”.

Murray shared the picture on his social media, saying: “Sorry for ruining the photo… trousers a total shambles.”

The pair are preparing for the 2020 Olympics in the Japanese capital, which are set to get underway this weekend after being delayed for a year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 34-year-old is once again set to compete as he gets ready to defend his singles title and triumph in the men’s doubles, having won the Olympic tournaments in both 2021 and 2016.

He will also play alongside the 2020 Australian Open doubles champion, Joe Salisbury, this weekend.

Murray is also a part of a British tennis team that includes British No1 Dan Evans, Johanna Konta and Heather Watson among others.

Speaking last month, Murray admitted it was an honour to play for Team GB at his fourth Olympics.

He said: “The Olympics means a huge amount to me, it’s a massive honour to be able to compete at a fourth games.

“Leading Team GB out at the opening ceremony five years ago in Rio was one of the highlights of my career.

“Going to an Olympics as defending champion is exciting and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
