Iggy Azalea has surprised fans with the announcement that she’ll no longer be sharing photos of her son Onyx.

The Fancy rapper is mother to one-year-old son Onyx who she shares with ex-boyfriend Playboy Carti, who Iggy appeared to split from around the time she gave birth.

Iggy, 31, regularly shares photos of the tot on Instagram but it appears fans will be seeing much less of him going forward.

The rapper told her Twitter followers on Monday: ‘I’ve decided I won’t be posting about onyx or sharing images online anymore. Y’all not about to be out here playing with my baby on my watch, nope!’

It’s not known what sparked Iggy’s change of heart and fans appeared to be equally confused with many questioning what happened.

Iggy, real name Amethyst Kelly, appears to be making sweeping changes in her life at the moment after announcing she’ll be taking a break from music

In a string of tweets earlier this month, the Australian rapper explained: ‘End of an Era is so special to me because after I drop my album next month I am going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things I’m feeling passionate and inspired by, beyond music.

I’ve decided I won’t be posting about onyx or sharing images online anymore.

‘I’m excited for you guys to see different sides to me in the future,’ she added. ‘Shifting my energy and focus to what I’m most excited about is what is right for me and I hope you’ll continue to support whatever creative projects I’m out here doing!’

Iggy continued: ‘Shifting my energy and focus to what I’m most excited about is what is right for me and I hope you’ll continue to support whatever creative projects I’m out here doing!

‘I really love this album and I just want my fans to enjoy this with me. I hope I see so many of you on tour!’

End of an Era is Iggy’s third studio album, following 2014’s The New Classic and In My Defense, which was released in 2019.
