Love Island’s Georgia Townend was seen giving Lucinda Strafford a lesson in pronunciation during last night’s Unseen Bits, prompting viewers to call for her return.

Before the contestant was dumped from the villa, she sat around the fire pit with the other islanders and declared she’d teach Lucinda how to stop over-exaggerating her words.

‘Lucinda, we’re going to do some elocution lessons with dragging out your vowels,’ Georgia suggested.

‘What does that meaaaan?’ Lucinda innocently replied.

‘You love a vowel, don’t you,’ Georgia commented.

‘Is it really that bad?’ Lucinda asked, with Faye Winter bluntly replying: ‘Yes’.

The following morning, Georgia stuck to her words and threw herself into guiding her fellow islander.

‘So, you like to over-pronounce your words and extend your vowels,’ Georgia pointed out. ‘It’s when it’s something that’s shocking to you, you’re like “reaaaaaally”.

‘Imagine the size of the dictionary if it was based on the way you said words.’

Lucinda agreed with the critique, replying: ‘It would be too long.’

Although many viewers were dead at the level of shade, many begged producers to get Georgia back on the show.

‘God damn it, could they not have kept Georgia in long enough to finish Lucinda’s elocution lessons?’ demanded one.

Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘GET GEORGIA BACK. SHE TRIED TO TEACH LUCINDA HOW TO SPEAK!’

Georgia was eliminated from the series in the latest recoupling when her crush Hugo Hammond, who was the last of the boys to pick, opted to match with Chloe Burrows instead.

‘I’m not sure why there wasn’t a spark,’ she said of her romance with Hugo after her exit. ‘I think he holds a candle for Lucinda and Chloe.

‘I think perhaps unless he’s honest with himself and really goes for that, he’s not going to even explore other options and he just wants to protect his friends and make sure they’re ok, which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just obviously in this instance it’s at my expense.

‘Maybe he doesn’t really know what he’s looking for.’

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
