WATCH: Bubba Wallace Crashes Into Chris Buescher at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway

At the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, there was an incident between Bubba Wallace and Chris Buescher. Apparently, the two of them lost control and spun off the track. Luckily, both drivers got away without hitting the wall, but Buescher picked up a puncture and limped back to the pits.

Replays suggested that Wallace spun on his own, but Daniel Suarez‘s #99 car may have tagged him. Meanwhile, Buescher had nowhere to go and was an innocent victim.

Luckily, both Wallace and Buescher were able to continue their races with their cars patched up. Unfortunately, they could only muster 26th and 29th respectively, which means they finished out of the points.

For Buescher, this result will not help his chances of making the playoffs. He is sitting in 16th place in the championship standings with four races and three vacant spots remaining, and he if wants to have any hope of securing his berth, he really needs to buck up.

Bubba Wallace and Chris Buescher will want to move on

For obvious reasons, the two will want to redeem themselves after their disappointing runs. With Bubba Wallace in 20th place, his chances of reaching the playoffs are even lower, unless he grabs a win. Buescher, on the other hand, is right on the cusp, and thus, has a better chance to qualify.

The next Cup Series race takes place at Watkins Glen on August 8. After that, the NASCAR paddock will head to Indianapolis, Michigan, and Daytona. These races will take place on consecutive weekends, and so, it will be hectic for everyone involved. Nevertheless, the drivers will be battling hard in these last four races for three playoff spots.

After that, all 16 drivers will have 10 races to prove their mettle against each other. When the season concludes at the Phoenix Raceway, a champion will be crowned in November.
