For Argentina, there were not many positives on the day. They didn’t do much wrong, but failed to maintain any structure to prevent a Slovenian onslaught. Their best players were Luis Scola with 23 points, and Denver Nuggets‘ Facundo Campazzo. Yet, Slovenia totally outplayed the side in every department, and Argentina scored fewer points than their opponents in almost every quarter.

The crazy thing is that Kevin Durant could do the same but y’all mans Greg Pop got them playing SYSTEM basketball. Truth hurts!!! Carry on…” In USA’s opening fixture, Durant seemed out of sorts, and managed only 10 points. Team USA will hope to take inspiration from Slovenia and return to winning ways. It cannot be denied that the Americans were up against a tougher opposition, and looked solid in the first half. However, an all-round performance and a KD special will be needed to go all the way!
