Emilia Clarke has got us feeling like it’s 2018 all over again as she took us back to the Game Of Thrones set with some behind-the-scenes photos.

The Daenerys Targaryen star was seen in her bright blonde wig as she cuddled up to co-star Iain Clen, who played loyal Ser Jorah Mormont.

You see, the series of images she uploaded were to herald the arrival of the actor to the glorious land of Instagram.

In four images, Emilia and Iain – who worked on the series together throughout its entirety, until they, spoiler alert, both met their untimely ends – were seen cheesing it up for the camera.

Shielding herself from the blistering cold (with some of the HBO series shot in some desolate and freezing areas), Emilia cosied up to Iain in another shot as she wore a coat with a furry hood.

Ever the performer, Iain was also seen with an acoustic guitar in a scene so far from his White Walker-slaying days on Westeros.

Emilia captioned the sweet homage to her comrade: ‘The man. The myth. The LEGEND @iainglen60 HAS JOINED INSTAGRAM!
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩’

Adding a touch of Game Of Thrones drama, she went on: ‘“KHHHALLEEESSSSIIIII!!!”

‘My hero and my guide for over a decade… please instaworld show this man the lovin he deserves.’

And how her followers did, with writer Pandora Sykes chiming in: ‘God he’s funky,’ before adding, ‘I meant hunky.’

The official GoT account was also waiting with open dragon wings, scooping up the post and commenting: ‘Welcome to the realm, @iainglen60.’

Despite years now having passed since the season eight finale wrapped up the show in a neat little package – whether people liked that package or not – Game of Thrones is still on many a punter’s lips.

In a move that may appease followers, A Song of Ice and Fire author George RR Martin recently revealed that the novels will feature a different conclusion to the controversial finale, saying that the series was ‘going in somewhat different directions’.

While we still have Martin’s books to come, a collection of prequels have also been in various stages of production since the finale.

Recently it was reported two more animated spin-offs were ‘in development’ at HBO Max, as a live-action prequel was ‘shelved’.

Still, what we do know is that fans will be treated to the first spin-off House of the Dragon, a prequel set 300 years before the events of the original fantasy drama.

The show will tell the tale of several of the Targaryen clan of old, with Paddy Considine playing King Viserys Targaryen, Matt Smith portraying his younger brother Prince Daemon Targaryen and Emma D’Arcy playing the king’s firstborn child Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.

Olivia Cooke will star as Alicent Hightower, while Rhys Ifans will play her father Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King.
