NXT Champion Karrion Kross Defeats Keith Lee to Win First Match on WWE Raw

The WWE NXT Champion Karrion Kross didn’t have the best of days last week. A defeat at the hands of veteran wrestler Jeff Hardy was not good for his image. Surprisingly, Keith Lee made his Raw return last week after his release from the company, only to be defeated by Bobby Lashley. Both men went head to head this week on Raw.

Both wrestlers had a chance at redemption following their last week’s embarrassments. But Kross had more pressure compared to Lee, as he is the NXT Champion and is a representation of NXT’s might.

The bell rang and the match was underway. Lee came out as the dominant force from the start. A shoulder block by Keith Lee followed by a vicious clothesline sent Kross outside the ring. Lee followed, only for Kross to throw him into the ring post.

The tide of the match fluctuated back and forth. But things started looking up for the champion. Kross hit Lee with a DDT in the middle of the ring and went for the cover. But it wasn’t enough to keep Lee down.

Karrion Kross suffocates Keith Lee

Things looked bleak for Lee when he got caught at The Kross Jacket submission hold. However, to Lee’s credit, he did manage to get out of it and knock Kross down. During the ending of the match, Lee went for the Spirit Bomb only for Kross to get out of the way. Quickly on the counter, Kross suplexed Lee down.

Karrion once again held Lee with the Kross Jacket submission maneuver and this time Keith Lee tapped out. Winner by submission, the NXT Champion, Karrion Kross.

This was Karrion’s first win on the main roster. The fans hope more is yet to come.
