Peter Kay has broken his silence to announce he’ll be performing two very special live next month.
The Car Share comedian, who stepped back from the public eye in 2017, will be participating in two Q&A’s in aid of Laura Nuttall at Manchester O2 Apollo on 7th Aug 21.
Laura, 20, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme in October 2018 after a brain scan that showed six brain tumours.
Peter delighted fans in January when he made a brief return to the fray on Cat Deeley’s Radio 2 debut.
Listeners were clearly thrilled as the 48-year-old phoned into Cat’s show for a quick catch-up, as well as some fun and games.
The funnyman stepped back from the public eye in 2017, cancelling his 14-month tour due to ‘unforeseen family circumstances’.
He has kept a low profile ever since, aside from pre-recorded TV appearances.
Peter shocked fans when he cancelled all work commitments in December, 2017, simply explaining that his ‘family comes first’.
A statement shared on his social media profile at the time read: ‘Due to unforeseen family circumstances, I deeply regret that I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects.
