Love Is Blind: After The Altar has finally arrived on Netflix, filling us in with what the couples have been up to since that dramatic reunion.
The three new episodes see returning couples Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton loved up and celebrating their two-year wedding anniversary with Amber Pike and Matthew Barnett at an explosive bash.
Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers are also involved in the action, as is Jessica Batten and Kelly Chase, but one contestant, Mark Cuevas, is noticeably missing from the party altogether.
So where on earth is Mark in the latest chapter? We’ve got everything you need to know right here.
Why isn’t Mark Cuevas on After the Altar?
Love Is Blind alum Mark Cuevas didn’t appear in any way shape or form in the brand new episodes.
It was revealed during the show, that he decided not to show up to the anniversary party as he wanted to stay home with his girlfriend Aubrey Rainey, who he has since married.
Mark’s ex-partner Jessica Batten expressed nerves at the prospect of coming face-to-face with him again before it was revealed he wouldn’t be there.
‘I think my biggest fear going into the party is seeing Mark’s girlfriend and what their dynamic is going to be,’ she said. ‘Is she going to approach me?
‘Does she have negative feelings towards me? What is that interaction going to be?’
Friend Amber Pike showed sympathy for Mark and respected his decision to avoid the event.
‘I understand him not being here 100%,’ Amber said. ‘Mark is being supportive for his girlfriend and I love that for them.’
Mark became engaged to Aubrey in November 2020 just weeks after they announced they were expecting their first child together.
The couple welcomed their baby, a son named Ace, in April.
‘We chose this name because of the uniqueness and the meaning behind the name which, of Latin origin, stands for unity and the bringing of everyone together,’ they told People.
