Love Island 2021: Hugo Hammond’s luck could be turning as he ‘gets a snog’

It seems as though Hugo Hammond may have finally found the romantic connection he’s been searching for as the Love Island star ‘gets a snog’ from one of the new islanders in Casa Amor.

From being in friendship couples to rejecting the advances of those who showed him interest, Hugo’s time on Love Island hasn’t been the smoothest of rides.

When the time came for the boys to head to Casa Amor, Hugo, 24, was over the moon at the possibility of meeting a girl who he could couple up with.

After setting his sights on 25-year-old Amy Day, Hugo kissed her during a game, but so far the pair haven’t had a romantic moment on their own.

Nonetheless, tonight’s episode will supposedly see Hugo pull Amy for a one-on-one chat, during which they’ll end up enjoying a cheeky kiss, The Mirror reported.

This romantic moment may come as a surprise to viewers after Amy appeared to ignore Hugo when he complimented her orange dress during yesterday’s instalment.

Just goes to show that the course of true love never did run smooth!

While in Casa Amor, Hugo made it clear to the rest of the boys that he plans on putting himself out there to find someone who he can bring back to the main villa.

However, the PE teacher’s frequent use of a particular catchphrase has been driving viewers mad, as he kept saying that he was going to ‘move mad’ on the girls.

Not only did fans beg Hugo to stop saying the phrase, but some also pointed out that the wasn’t even using it correctly.

‘Hugo needs to stop saying he’s going to move mad round women, does he know that’s a nuts statement to make?’ one person tweeted.

‘No, no did Hugo just say “chirpse chirpse, move mad!??? Someone take this mans mobile from him I swear he’s texting his pupils on what to say,’ another remarked.

In the preview for tonight’s episode, Chloe Burrows was filmed picking up a postcard that had been delivered to the main villa… and reacting in absolute horror over what it showed.

Many fans are hoping the postcard will show the girls what antics the boys have been up to in Casa Amor so that it will encourage them to get to know the new boys instead.

Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
