Samsung teases ‘iPhone killer’ with new video before next month’s big Galaxy Unpacked launch

SAMSUNG has teased a glimpse of the design for its highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone.

The Apple rival revealed another teaser trailer for its Galaxy Unpacked August 2021 event in which it slates other smartphones by asking: “Is “good” good enough?”.

The video was posted on YouTube by the Samsung newsroom.

Its caption states: “Change is the only constant in the world of innovation.

“By driving new ideas forward and transforming existing experiences, it redefines the boundaries of what’s possible.

“As the excitement for the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked on August 11 continues to build, Samsung Electronics has released a trailer teasing the surprises that lie in wait for Galaxy fans.”

The video starts by showing a stream of old phones from the likes of Blackberry, HTC, Motorola, and Nokia, which look like they’re falling into a black abyss.

It then states that change is a good thing and can lead to new innovations.

This is when the the Galaxy S20 Ultra makes an appearance before the viewer is asked: “Is “good” good enough?”.

It then reveals a horizon-like design that was leaked last week which then appears to transform into the silhouette of the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The new design then starts to unfold and reveals a dream-like graphic of skyscrapers popping up from inside the smartphone.

The video ends with the words “Get ready to unfold” appearing on the screen and then the date of the Unpacked event.

This years Galaxy Unpacked event is set for August 11.

Samsung is also expected to reveal the Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone, two new smartphones and some new wireless earbuds at the event.

A price for the next Galaxy Fold hasn’t been revealed yet but the infamous first Fold with its delicate screen issues launched at around $2,000.

In other news, the next iPhone will come in a new pink colour and start at just under £800, according to recent rumours.
