Richard Hammond has been asked about being banned from Clarkson’s Farm and he’s taken it… well, very magnanimously actually.
The presenter addressed recent comments made by his Grand Tour co-star Jeremy, in which he said that Richard and James May wouldn’t be allowed on his farming show ‘in a million years’.
It all comes after Amazon Prime Video renewed the hit documentary for a second series, causing Jeremy to take to Twitter in celebration.
When one fan asked: ‘Can we get a cameo from @RichardHammond and Captain Slow?’ Jeremy replied: ‘Not in a million years.’
Now, Richard has responded during an interview with Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes on This Morning, and refused to hit back at his old mate for his comments – instead dishing out a few compliments.
When asked about being banned, Richard said: ‘I read that! I mean, I love the show. The key thing about the show, and you can tell when you watch it, is that it is a genuine passion.

‘I know that about him anyway. It’s not for effect and it’s not just for telly. It’s genuinely something he wanted to get to grips with, and that’s fantastic.’
He added: ‘That shines through. It wouldn’t be as convincing and as entertaining as it is if it weren’t true. That’s what’s at the heart of it.’
Clarkson’s Farm, which premiered in June, saw the presenter attempting to tend to his Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire.
The upcoming second series promises to bring us ‘more laughs, triumphs and tribulations, and of course more farming faux pas from the farm, as we follow their next agricultural adventure’.

Richard was also on This Morning to talk about The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown special, which sees the trio take a trip to the Scottish Highlands in vintage cars from the 1970s.
The highly-anticipated programme was filmed last year in between lockdowns, with the presenters forced to film in the UK rather than different locations abroad because of the pandemic.
The release date of Clarkson’s Farm season two is yet to be announced.
