Just a couple of weeks after the finale of Loki was released on Disney Plus, Marvel has announced when fans can expect Jeremy Renner to blast back into the MCU with Hailee Steinfeld in Hawkeye.

Jeremy, 50, has spent a decade portraying expert marksman Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first appearing in Thor and going on to become one of the original members of the Avengers.

Having recently made a brief voice cameo in Black Widow, next in the pipeline is his very own eponymous series, which will see Hailee become his protégé Kate Bishop after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

In a first look image, Kate and Clint are shown facing each other in what looks like an underground training room, as Kate holds a bow and arrow with a punching bag and an archery target in the background.

Clint looks less ready for action than the youngster, slouching while wearing a hoodie and carrying a rucksack, perhaps worn out from his explosive hero days.

Nonetheless, with a release date of Wednesday November 24, fans have just four months to wait before seeing Hawkeye back in action and welcoming Hailee into the MCU fold.

In Avengers: Endgame, viewers watched a new side of Clint emerge after losing his family in the Snap caused by Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Infinity War.

Clint becomes an assassin, adopting the persona of Ronin and unleashing hell before reuniting with the rest of the Avengers for their mission to bring back the half of the universe that was Blipped.

The Disney Plus Hawkeye series will explore Clint’s time as Ronin in greater detail, so fans can expect to delve deeper into the darker side of the master archer.

Kate, a young fan of the superhero, is trained by Clint so that she can one day take over as the next Hawkeye.
