Tom DeLonge revealed that Mark Hoppus’ cancer is ‘disappearing’ in a health update.

The Blink-182 star, 49, confirmed last month that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and was undergoing chemotherapy.

Mark’s news met with an outpouring of love from fans and famous faces, with many publicly sharing their support.

Taking to Instagram, his bandmate shared a throwback snap of the pair, explaining that he is ‘doing well’.

‘Me and @markhoppus about to record Cheshire Cat @blink182 – AND – Mark is doing well!,’ Tom shared with fans.

‘Cancer is disappearing! But, he still has more chemo to do. As tough as it is, IT IS working!

‘Mark is a real life superhero.’

The I Miss You musician shared his diagnosis last month, vowing that he was remaining ‘hopeful and positive’.

‘For the past three months I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer,’ the dad-of-one penned on his Instagram story.

‘I have cancer. It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.

‘I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I’m trying to remain hopeful and positive. Can’t wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the hopefully near future. Love to you all.’

During a recent Q&A session on a Twitch live-stream, Mark opened up about his health battle, stating that he is ‘at Stage 4’.

‘My blood’s trying to kill me. My classification is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma Stage 4-A, which means, as I understand it, it’s entered four different parts of my body,’ he added.

‘I don’t know how exactly they determine the four-part of it, but it’s entered enough parts of my body that I’m Stage 4, which I think is the highest that it goes. So, I’m Stage 4-A.’

Large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) occurs in white blood cells and can form tumours throughout the body, and is one of the most common types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

It is an aggressive lymphoma that can arise in lymph nodes or outside of the lymphatic system.
