The Suicide Squad is out today, bringing Harley Quinn back to our screens with a whole host of crazed convicts.
Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Peter Capaldi, Sylvester Stallone, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis and Jai Courtney are among the star-studded cast of James Gunn’s take on the Suicide Squad comics, which sees a group of prisoners sent to destroy a Nazi-era prison and lab on the island of Corto Maltese.
While 2016’s Suicide Squad, starring Robbie, Jared Leto and Will Smith, was panned by the critics, this standalone sequel has been received much more positively, with Metro.co.uk giving it a four-star review.
If gore, blood and goofy humour are up your street, here’s how you can watch The Suicide Squad.
What is The Suicide Squad’s release date?
The movie is out today, July 30, in the United Kingdom.
US fans will have to wait a bit longer, though, as it is released in American cinemas on August 5.

Warner Bros is releasing The Suicide Squad on HBO Max on the same day as its cinema release in the US, with viewers able to stream the movie at home for one month.
An upcoming spin-off series called Peacemaker, led by John Cena’s character, will also premiere on HBO Max in January 2022.
What is The Suicide Squad’s rating?
The BBFC has given The Suicide Squad a 15 rating, due to ‘strong bloody violence, gore, language and brief drug misuse’.
This is the same rating as the 2016 film directed by David Ayer, which was given a 15 for ‘sustained threat and moderate violence’.
